Darcell Ascending Care LLC was founded on a simple but powerful belief: every person with an intellectual or developmental disability deserves a life full of dignity, connection, and real possibility.
Darcell Ascending Care LLC was born from a deep personal commitment to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with the care, respect, and intentionality they deserve. Our founder saw firsthand the gap between what IDD care could be and what it too often was — and decided to do something about it.
Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, we set out to build residential homes that feel like real homes — warm, safe, and full of life. Places where residents are known by name, celebrated for who they are, and supported to grow into who they want to become.
Today, that mission guides every hire we make, every care plan we write, and every relationship we build — with residents, families, and the broader Indianapolis community.
To provide person-centered residential care that honors the dignity, individuality, and potential of every person with an intellectual or developmental disability — empowering them to live full, connected, and self-directed lives.
A community where every individual with IDD has access to high-quality, compassionate residential care — and where the words "every person, every possibility" are not just a tagline, but a lived reality.
These values aren't posted on a wall — they shape every decision we make.
Every person deserves to be treated with respect, kindness, and unconditional positive regard — regardless of ability, behavior, or background.
We build our support around each individual's unique strengths, preferences, and goals — not a one-size-fits-all model.
Families trust us with the people they love most. We take that responsibility seriously — in every decision, every shift, every interaction.
We believe everyone deserves a place where they belong. We actively build connection — within our homes and throughout Indianapolis.
We never put a ceiling on what someone can achieve. Our role is to open doors, not close them — and to walk through them together.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of care, transparency, and continuous improvement — because the people we serve deserve nothing less.
Person-centered care means that the individual — not the system, not the schedule, not the staff — is at the center of every decision. We start by listening. We ask what matters to each person, what their days should look like, what their goals are, and what brings them joy.
Then we build everything else around that. Support plans, daily routines, community activities, staff assignments — all of it flows from a deep understanding of who each resident is as a person.
We'd love to connect with you and answer any questions about our care, our homes, and how we can support your loved one.
